As a graduate from NEOMED’s first class in the College of Pharmacy, I certainly could have benefited from a service like NEOMED Connect. And as an alumnus, it’s always important to give back to NEOMED. It is a privilege to be a small part of the excellent support system in place for our NEOMED students. To me, mentoring is a vital part of the education process itself. Through formal advising, assistance with career exploration, and facilitation of clinical shadowing, we mentors work to help students successfully navigate the pathway from medical school to post-graduate training. Ultimately, the only thing more rewarding than witnessing our NEOMED students’ success is watching them return as graduates to serve as mentors themselves.
